Merchandise is not a takeaway.
It's a keepsake.

At Delulu, every object we make is designed to outlive the moment that introduced it — to sit on a shelf years later, still telling the story. From exquisite materials to bespoke design and finishing, each item is a sensorial expression of a brand story.

03 — Materials & craft

What we work with.

We source from artisans across Vietnam — and occasionally beyond — to match the right material to the right story. Each material has a sensorial logic.

01

Glass & Crystal// hand-blown · etched · cut

For weight and transparency. Vessels, vials, awards, decorative objects. Crafted by master blowers in Lam Dong.

02

Leather// full-grain · hand-stitched

For tactility and patina that improves with age. Wallets, journals, accessories, packaging. Tanned and finished in HCMC.

03

Ceramic & Porcelain// hand-thrown · glazed

For warmth and heritage. Tableware, tea sets, decorative pieces. Bat Trang artisans, with custom glaze development.

04

Textile & Silk// hand-rolled · digitally printed

For softness and color. Scarves, throws, bags, branded apparel. Mulberry silk from Bao Loc, finishing in HCMC.

05

Wood & Brass// turned · cast · finished

For structure and weight. Bases, frames, hardware. Kiln-dried hardwood, brass cast and patinated by hand.

06

Paper & Print// letterpress · foil · debossed

For narrative detail. Invitations, packaging, journals, certificates. Cotton stocks, hand-pulled by traditional press.

04 — From sketch to shelf

The commission process.

Five stages, six to twelve weeks, no shortcuts. The shorter timelines either compromise materials or skip iteration — neither belong in this practice.

01
Brief · Week 1

Story listening.

What's the moment? Who's the audience? What should they feel when they unwrap, hold, or place this object? We don't sketch yet — we listen.

→ Story brief · Material possibilities · Initial budget bracket
02
Concept · Week 2–3

Design routes.

Two or three concept directions explored at sketch level. Materials, silhouettes, finishes presented as physical mood boards — not just renderings.

→ 2–3 concepts · Mood board · Material samples · Sizing study
03
Prototype · Week 4–6

First sample.

Selected concept made physical. One sample in real materials, real finish. Adjustments are expected — most pieces go through 2–3 sample rounds.

→ Physical prototype · Tooling specs · Production-ready file
04
Production · Week 7–10

Batch crafting.

Hand-production by selected artisans. We are present during runs to ensure quality consistency — especially for batches over 100 units.

→ Quality control · Hand-numbering · Custom packaging
05
Delivery · Week 11–12

Delivered, documented.

Each piece delivered with a story card and origin certificate. We photograph the final batch — assets become yours for storytelling.

→ Story cards · Origin certificate · Photo library · Delivery
05 — Crafted for
